Popular
West London riverside pub with two adjacent, separately
managed, restaurants. |
Previous weekly collection comprised two 660-litre
wheelies of bottles, of which 440 litres was
filled by only two of the premises. Additionally,
there was a daily collection of two 660-litre
wheelies for both bottles and general waste.
After installation of the "Little
Smasher", smashed glass waste from
all three premises was combined. The volume
is now half of one 660-litre wheelie per week,
with a significant potential financial saving
for the businesses.

West London restaurant and wine bar. |
Currently generating some 600 plus waste wine
bottles a week - equivalent to two 660-litre
wheelies.
After installation of the "Little
Smasher", the two 660-litre wheelies
were substituted with two 240-litre bins, saving
significant space. Glass waste collections are
now fortnightly. Significant potential financial
savings have been assessed.

Busy City wine bar surrounded by pavements, with
no access by road. |
No space on premises for wheelies of any size.
Previously serviced by expensive nightly collections
of waste bags, placed on the pavement.
After assessing the logistics, Smash &
Grab installed "Little
Smasher"
and provided standard waste boxes in cellar
for glass collection that is made fortnightly.
Staff have found the new system easier and it
is already providing significant savings.
